Administrator, fragrance evaluator, and fragrance marketing and sales professional. With over 20 years of experience developing perfumery projects in leading companies – IFF and dsm.firmenich - in the sector, I held executive positions for Latin America. My restless and curious personality led me to seek new experiences and professional models where I could express myself, create, inspire, and provoke more—outside, yet still close to the fragrance industry.

Today, with Paralela Escola Olfativa, I am recognized as a reference in fragrance education and in creating innovative perfumery solutions. I influence the market by expanding perfume culture, preparing new generations to work in this vital and promising sector, and broadening the language of perfume while acting as a guardian of the quality and artistry of fragrance creation.

Amandine Nikuze

Amandine Nikuze

VP Marketing, Ajmal Perfumes

There are certain scents that stay with us from our childhood.

For me, these fragrant memories, like the smell of dewy tuberoses in my parents’ garden, or the passion fruit vines, so prevalent in Rwanda where I grew up, were particularly special and would go on to fuel my curiosity in the world of perfumery.

Trained at ISIPCA School of Perfumery in Versailles, I discovered the profession in Dubai with IFF and moved to Firmenich where I was able to bridge the gap between the Gulf heritage and the French perfume craftmanship.

Each fragrance development is for me an empty canvas that I shape through my emotions, creativity, sensitivity and sense of detail.

My talent and expertise are renowned in the GCC and worldwide, constantly expecting elements of surprise from new briefs.

Jerome Epinette

Beautyworld Middle East - Jerome Epinette

VP Fine Fragrance Perfumer, Robertet Group

Jérôme Epinette is a Senior Vice President of Perfumery with Robertet Fragrances. He began his career in Robertet’s Paris office in 2003 and joined the U.S. team to launch the New York Creative Center in 2006. Jérôme is the only two-time winner of the Fragrance Foundation’s prestigious “Perfume Extraordinaire” award.

Jérôme earned a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry in Dijon, France and attended the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in Grasse, France.

His perfumery work is inspired first and foremost by the beauty of nature; the sights, sounds and scents of flowers, forests, the sea and the sea breeze.  In his spare time, Jérôme is an accomplished cook and enjoys blending different types of herbs in unique combinations to create new culinary experiences.  His favorite dishes are traditional French meals.

Jérôme sees the world through the lens of a great perfumer. When walking down the streets of Manhattan, he sometimes notices the sillage of perfume trailing from women as they pass by.  He notices how the different fragrances blend in the air and can reimagine them to create brand new ideas.

As a child growing up in the beautiful countryside of Burgundy, France, Jérôme lived amongst picturesque vineyards, the finest French restaurants and storied towns steeped in history.  It was there that he fell in love with perfume.  His mother sold fine fragrance in local boutiques, and when he was not in school, Jérôme would assist her.  He learned about the different notes that comprised a fragrance, but he was curious to learn more, to understand how a perfume was created.

Had he not become a perfumer, Jérôme would have become a sommelier.  His admiration for winemaking is influenced by his hometown of Burgundy, and he loves to attend wine tastings and compare the different notes in wine, just like in perfumery.

As a part of the creative process, Jérôme is always striving to make something new and different.  He enjoys working with niche brands because he gets a lot of room to be creative.  His formulas are often simple and short, but they are elegant and authentic.

Jérôme is known for his mastery of Robertet’s natural ingredients to create exceptional quality in his fragrances.  He is an amazing creative talent and continues to delight his clients with his ability to translate his vision into olfactive treasures.
