Government of Dubai Media Office – 31 October 2022: Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Chairperson and Managing Director of Dubai Women Establishment, today opened Beautyworld Middle East, the region’s largest beauty and wellness trade fair, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri said: “The 26th edition of Beautyworld Middle East perfectly encapsulates Dubai’s status as a leading international destination for trade shows and business events. Dubai continues to be at the heart of global conversations on shaping the future of diverse industries by providing platforms for showcasing innovation, accelerating value creation and spurring growth and collaboration. The increased international participation at this year’s Beautyworld Middle East demonstrates Dubai’s growing role in bringing together stakeholders in global industries to share knowledge and explore partnerships,” said Al Marri.

Following the inauguration, Al Marri visited a number of country pavilions at the trade fair, including Turkey, Germany, France and Brazil, as well as various stands including that of Dubai Municipality, Swiss Arabian and Cosmed.

Running until 2 November, Beautyworld Middle East offers visitors unrivalled access to seven of the industry’s fastest-growing product segments: Cosmetics & Skincare; Hair, Nails & Salon Supplies; Machinery, Packaging & Raw Materials; Fragrance Compounds & Finished Fragrance; Personal Care & Hygiene; Natural & Organic; and Beauty Technology.

This year’s show, spread across 14 halls, sees the return of the ‘Next in Beauty’ conference, which brings fresh thinking, new insights, and advanced business strategies to the fore. The programme runs across all show days and provides a platform for industry specialists to engage with the public on topics such as the future of skincare, the global reach of Middle Eastern perfumery, slow beauty, global hair care trends, and the use of AI to better the industry and make business more profitable and agile.

British celebrity perfumer Jo Malone is speaking today as the headline keynote interviewee, discussing her inspirational story of artisan beginnings and global success. She is also holding a ‘Fragrance Tapas’ session that offers a unique perfume experience.

“As we usher in the 26th edition of Beautyworld Middle East, the event is firing on all cylinders with increased participation from international pavilions and an inspirational range of features and new products for visitors to enjoy,” explained Flyn Roberts, Show Director, Beautyworld Middle East. “We also have an increased focus on eco-friendly and organic products that have become vital in the beauty industry, and it is incredible to see some of the brands on site and how quickly they have adapted to the growing demand.”
