Celebrating the substantial impact made through innovation, leadership and commitment to excellence, the winner will exemplify consistent demonstration of industry expertise and influence, and who’s work has had a lasting impact on the beauty industry as a whole, serving as an inspiration to future generations of beauty professionals.

Eligibility:

  • At least two decades working in the industry

  • Provide the applicant’s biography
  • Explain the impact of the applicant on the beauty industry including Influence, creativity, business acumen
  • Present the story and development of the brand/company

Media Campaign of the Year is an award that recognizes the most impactful and successful media campaign in the beauty industry.

This award celebrates campaigns that have effectively communicated a message, raised awareness, and/or achieved measurable results.

The winning campaign must demonstrate exceptional creativity, innovation, and strategic planning, as well as a clear understanding of the target audience and the media channels used. The campaign must have had a significant impact on the intended audience either through increased engagement, brand awareness, sales or positive change in the beauty industry. 

Eligibility:

  • Campaign must have run between  1 Jan 2022 to 30 June 2023 inclusive

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Campaign Overview: Provide a comprehensive overview of your media campaign
  • Creative Assets: Include examples of the creative assets used in your media campaign
  • Results and Metrics: Present measurable results and key performance indicators
  • Testimonials and Case Studies: If possible, gather testimonials from clients, customers, or other stakeholders
  • Recognition, and Press Coverage: If your media campaign has received any recognition, or press coverage, be sure to include them in your submission

The Hair Product of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding and innovative hair product that has made a significant impact in the hair care industry.

This award celebrates hair products that are not only effective but also demonstrate a unique approach to hair care, such as using natural ingredients, addressing specific hair concerns, or introducing new technology. The winning hair product must have undergone rigorous testing and evaluation, demonstrating exceptional performance in terms of hair texture, manageability, and overall health. 

Eligibility:

  • Product was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023. 

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Product Description and Features: Provide a comprehensive description of your hair product, including its purpose, key features, and benefits
  • Highlight what sets your product apart from competitors, such as innovative ingredients, advanced technology, or unique formulations.
  • Scientific Research and Development: If your hair product has undergone extensive research and development, provide supporting evidence of its effectiveness

The Technology Innovation of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding and innovative technology product or solution that has made a significant impact in its industry or society as a whole.

This award celebrates technology products or solutions that are not only effective but also demonstrate a unique approach to solving a problem, addressing a need, or introducing a new way of doing things. The winning technology product or solution must have undergone rigorous testing and evaluation, demonstrating exceptional performance in terms of functionality, usability, and overall quality. 

Eligibility:

  • Product was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023. 

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Your approach to solving a beauty-related problem or addressing an unmet need in the market.
  • How does is benefit the end user user?
  • Is the technology should be safe and pose no harm to the user or the environment?
  • Demonstrate  the accessibility of your technology.
  • The technology should be seamlessly integrated into the user's beauty routine. How is this done?

The Luxury Packaging of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding and innovative packaging design that has made a significant impact in the luxury goods industry.

This award celebrates primary and secondary packaging that is not only visually stunning but also functional, sustainable, and memorable. The winning packaging design must demonstrate exceptional creativity, innovation, and attention to detail, as well as a clear understanding of the brand's identity and target audience. The packaging must have a premium feel and reflect the quality and uniqueness of the product inside. 

Eligibility:

  • Product was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023. 

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Outline the brand identity and target audience
  • Describe the design concept and how the packaging compliments the product
  • A brief regarding the materials used
  • What makes this packaging unique to others in the market

The Innovative Packaging of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding and innovative packaging solution that has made a significant impact in the industry.

This award celebrates packaging that goes beyond the traditional approach, introducing new materials, new shapes, new functionality or innovative technology to address challenges and create solutions that truly make a difference. The winning packaging innovation must demonstrate exceptional creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills, as well as a clear understanding of the target audience and the purpose of the packaging.

Eligibility:

  • Product was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023.

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Outline what is innovative about the design.
  • Does the packaging solve an existing problem or improve user experience?
  • Describe the design concept and how the packaging compliments the product.

The Conscious Brand of the Year award recognizes a brand that demonstrates exceptional commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and social responsibility.

The winning brand will demonstrate a clear mission and vision for sustainable and ethical beauty, as well as a commitment to transparency and accountability in their practices. The brand should use safe, sustainable and ethical ingredients, packaging and manufacturing processes, and/or support fair trade and community empowerment initiatives. The Conscious Brand of the Year award acknowledges beauty brands that strive to create products/services that not only make people look good but also do good for the planet and its people.

Eligibility:

Product was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023. 

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Outline the core values of the brand and how you commit to sustainable, ethical and/or social responsibility in the production of your products/services.
  • Provide a comprehensive and captivating description of your product/s, emphasizing its purpose, key features, and benefits
  • Detail the ingredients and manufacturing process, including where, how and who makes your product where applicable.
  • Demonstrate how the conscious consumer has responded to your product/service in the market.

The Niche Fragrance of the Year award recognizes the most exceptional and innovative fragrance that has made a significant impact in the niche fragrance market.

This award celebrates fragrances that are not mainstream but rather offer a unique and distinctive scent profile, made with high-quality ingredients and crafted with exceptional creativity and attention to detail. The winning fragrance must have a clear and distinctive concept, narrative, or inspiration behind it and must showcase the perfumer's expertise in creating a scent that is original, well-balanced, and long-lasting. 

Eligibility:

  • Product was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023. The award recognizes a fragrance whose GCC sales volume is less than $300K. Nominations will not be accepted for this award category if the brand has nominations in Popular Fragrance of the Year category A suggested retail price point of $140 and above for 100ml/closet size

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Detailed description of the fragrance's scent profile, highlighting the distinctive elements that set it apart from other fragrances in the market.
  • Documentation of the ingredients used in the fragrance, emphasizing their high quality and origins from reputable suppliers.
  • Clear articulation of the brand's image, values, and positioning
  • Visual representation and description of the packaging design that complements the fragrance and resonates with the brand's aesthetic.

The Popular Fragrance of the Year award recognizes the fragrance which has had wide success and recognition in the mass market, making a significant impact in the fragrance industry in terms of sales and popularity.

This award celebrates fragrances that have resonated with a broad audience, becoming a popular choice for consumers who appreciate the fragrance's scent profile, packaging, and overall brand appeal. The winning fragrance must have a clear and appealing concept, a well-executed marketing campaign, and demonstrate exceptional performance in terms of fragrance quality, longevity, and value. 

Eligibility:

  • Product was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023. A suggested retail price point of $35 and above for 100ml/closet size

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Clear articulation of the target audience, the brand image, values, and positioning in the market
  • Detailed description of the fragrance's scent profile, and what  sets it apart from other fragrances in the market.
  • Documentation of the ingredients used in the fragrance,
  • A description of the packaging design that complements the fragrance and resonates with the brand's aesthetic.
  • Sales or market figures which demonstrate the products success during the last year

The Newcomer Brand of the Year award recognizes the most exceptional and innovative new brand that has made a significant impact in the beauty industry within its first 2 years of launch.

This award celebrates brands that have demonstrated outstanding creativity, innovation and marketing strategies, as well as a clear understanding of their target audience and the purpose of their products. The winning brand must have a clear mission and vision, a unique product range, and a successful launch campaign that has generated positive feedback and interest in the market.

Eligibility:

  • The brand must have launched in the region AFTER 1 Jan 2021

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Present the story and development of the brand/company
  • Clearly articulate your brand's mission and vision, demonstrating a strong sense of purpose and direction.
  • Provide examples of unique marketing campaigns, collaborations, packaging designs, or brand experiences that differentiate your brand.
  • Provide metrics, such as sales figures, customer reviews, or social media engagement, to illustrate the impact and success of your launch.

The Homegrown Brand of the Year award recognizes the most exceptional and innovative brand launched and based out of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region.

This award celebrates brands that demonstrate the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and creativity of the region and have successfully established themselves in the competitive Middle East market with the potential to become leaders in the region and beyond.

The brand has demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation and marketing strategies that are well-tailored to the unique needs and preferences of the regions consumers, but also has the ability to expand into the international market. 

Eligibility:

  • The brand must be based and have launched out of the GCC region
  • The brands product was available for sale/use in the region between Jan 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023.

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Present the story and development of the brand/company
  • Present a comprehensive overview of your product range, highlighting the uniqueness and innovation of each product.
  • Explain how your products cater to the specific needs and preferences of local consumers, considering cultural, climatic, or lifestyle factors.
  • Illustrate how your brand has successfully established itself in the region and its potential to expand internationally.

The Beauty Influencer of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding and influential content creator who has made a significant impact in the region.

This award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional creativity, expertise, and innovation in producing content that resonates with their audience and inspires them to try new products and techniques. The winning influencer must have a clear and authentic voice, a dedicated following, and a significant engagement rate across their social media platforms. The influencer must also demonstrate a deep understanding of their audience's needs and preferences, and the ability to influence their purchasing decisions positively. 

Eligibility:

  • Must be based in the GCC region

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Provide an introduction that includes your name, background, and key accomplishments as a beauty influencer.
  • Quantify your influence by sharing your social media following, engagement metrics, and website or blog traffic.
  • Highlight any collaborations, partnerships, or brand endorsements that showcase your reach and influence within the beauty community.
  • Showcase examples of your creative and innovative content, such as makeup tutorials, product reviews, skincare routines, or beauty tips.

 

The Perfumer of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding and innovative perfumer who has made a significant impact in the regions fragrance industry.

This award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional creativity, expertise, and passion in creating fragrances that are unique, memorable, and of exceptional quality. The winning perfumer must have a distinguished portfolio of fragrances available in the region, showcasing their unique style and talent, as well as demonstrate an understanding of the art and science of fragrance creation. The perfumer must also demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and social responsibility.

Eligibility:

  • Must have a fragrance which was available for sale/use in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023. 

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Provide perfumer biography
  • Outline a selection of your most outstanding and notable fragrances, emphasizing their unique qualities, creativity, and success in the region.
  • Discuss your unique approach to fragrance composition
  • Provide testimonials from industry peers

The Independent Beauty Retailer of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding independent retailer in the beauty industry.

This award celebrates small retailers who have demonstrated exceptional product curation, customer service, instore experience, marketing strategies and overall business growth. The winning retailer must have a distinguished reputation for offering exceptional quality products, a wide range of beauty brands, and exceptional customer service whilst demonstrating innovation, best practice and an exceptional understanding of market trends and their customers needs.

Eligibility:

  • Less than 5 physical storefronts OR a single online store in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023.
    Must stock a minimum of 3 brand ranges

The following is required to complete an online submission for this award:

  • Key performance indicators that demonstrate your retailer's success, such as sales growth, market share, or customer retention rates
  • Highlight any exclusive partnerships, collaborations, or innovative offerings/experiences that set you apart from competitors.
  • Showcase the breadth and depth of your product range, emphasizing the variety of beauty brands and products available.
  • Outline your approach to both customer service and experience 

The Popular Beauty Retailer of the Year award recognizes the most outstanding large retailer in the beauty industry.

This award celebrates retailers who have demonstrated exceptional product curation, customer service, instore experience, marketing strategies and overall business growth. The winning retailer must have a distinguished reputation for offering exceptional quality products, a wide range of beauty brands, and exceptional customer service whilst demonstrating innovation, best practice and an exceptional understanding of market trends and their customers needs.

Eligibility;

  • A minimum of 6 physical storefronts OR a single online store in the region between 1 Jan 2022 and 30 June 2023.
