He has gone on to develop a multi-branded Distribution company working with brands such as Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Ormonde Jayne etc and has since become a partner in the international Fragrance brand, Thomas Kosmala Parfums….the brand is Top 20 in Harrods, London and can be found in Bloomingdales in the US, across the GCC in Galleries Lafayette, HN, BLM and high quality perfumeries and Tsum in Russia.
CAROLINE CHAUME - Senior Marketing Manager Fine Fragrance at Firmenich
When it comes to marketing & Fine Fragrance Caroline Chaume is a leading face in the Middle East.
She started her career as a Fine Fragrance Marketing Manager 10 years ago in Paris, working on various brands of the business; from prestige to niche brands.
She joined Firmenich in 2014 and then moved to Dubai in 2016, driving the marketing for the Firmenich Dubai affiliate.
As this region has a lot to offer Caroline is always the first one to promote it and support local brands to make the Middle Eastern Perfumery shine internationally.

With a career in the beauty industry spanning 13 years, Florendia Couvaras has her finger on the pulse of every emerging trend and groundbreaking innovation in the world of beauty. A degree in Cosmetic Science from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, enabled her to study the industry from many perspectives – each adding significant value to every role she undertakes.
Over the course of her career, Couvaras has worked with globally renowned brands such as Marks & Spencer, The Perfume Shop and Al Tayer Beauty - Middle East’s largest luxury retailer. Proficient in negotiations and project management, Couvaras liaises with key stakeholders in the industry, working closely with suppliers across brick & mortar and digital platforms, in order to enable established and emerging beauty brands to grow their businesses.
Prior to Al Tayer Beauty, Couvaras – a certified Fragrance Sales Specialist worked at The Perfume Shop, initially as Buyer’s Assistant and later on as Junior Buyer, responsible for driving sales through innovative and creative promotional strategies.
When she is not busy keeping track of the latest beauty trends, Couvaras spends her time being actively involved in philanthropy through her participation at charity events such as The Breast Cancer Moonwalk & Tough Mudder. She also set up and chaired a joint charity initiative between The Perfume Shop and Gucci called Chime for Change, to raise funds for empowerment of women across the world. A fitness enthusiast, she trains at the gym regularly and also participates in a lot of corporate games.

JEROME DI MARINO – Perfumer at Takasago
Drawn to art yet with a scientific soul, this Haute-Savoie native who grew up in Nice studied for a degree in chemistry after completing his baccalaureate. He came across the ISIPCA fragrance and cosmetic school by chance, applied and graduated in 2010 after completing an apprenticeship at Givaudan with his “perfumery godmother”, Nathalie Cetto. Jérome di Marino would then spend a year in Givenchy’s olfactory unit, evaluating compositions submitted by fragrance companies. It was the ideal job for a natural people-person and the young man was thrilled to meet colleagues from across the profession and get to know the various characters and talents. In 2012, he joined Takasago as a Trainee Perfumer under Francis Kurkdjian. He spent two years in the shadow of his mentor but they were also two years in his light, observing a rigour and perfectionism that was he unlikely to forget. Jérome worked on the Black project for Daniel Hechter, which picked up a FIFI award in 2015. And so a star was born. Since 2017, he has been a fully-fledged perfumer-creator with a desire to prove to everyone who put their faith in him that they were right to do so. Art is ever-present: in the background in his daily life, in the foreground in the niche brands he works with.
LUCILE RIVES – Director at NEZ
Director of Nez's operations since the magazine's creation in 2016, Lucile Rives is notably in charge of the collective's event activities, relations with booksellers and the coordination of general activities. With a degree in art history, she previously worked for several years in the production of exhibitions in the field of contemporary art. This path, combined with her taste for perfume from the scents of her mother's Shalimar that fascinated her as a child, naturally led her to join Nez.
MARK BUXTON – Perfumer at Mark Buxton and NOSE
Born in England, he grew up close to Hamburg and fell in love with Paris over 20 years ago.
Mark Buxton is above all a hedonist, wine connoisseur, talented cook, with a passion for antiquities, especially for art deco style.
Perfumer –creator –more than 25 years of experience in the Fine Fragrance Creation –he collaborated with International leading fragrance houses.
He designed for the biggest luxurious brands such as Givenchy, Versace, Van Cleef & Arpels, Paco Rabanne, Lagerfeld, Burberrys, Cartier, Chopard, Ferré….
His daring handwriting was discovered when he created the first Come des Garçons Fragrance.
After, he was quickly recognized in the Haute Perfumery.
Today, he wants to express and share, through his brand, his own creative universe.
